2008: Trip Down Memory Lane
From March 4th-8th 2008, Ennis Musical Society will stage its 51st production in The Glor Theatre in Ennis.
This year’s production sees a departure from our regular musical to bring you a week of productions with a difference!
Following from the success of our Percy French Recital last May, the society is delighted to return to the stage, 'A Tribute to Percy French'. This performance is a must for any Percy French enthusiast and even if your not I’m sure you will delight and find surprise in the many musical numbers this talented man had to his bow. Our evening of Songs and Recitations includes many favourites such as 'Phil The Fluters Ball', 'Come Back Paddy Reilly', Eileen Og and of course 'Are you right there Michael'!
All of which are interspersed with beautiful poems and a narration of the highs and lows of his life.
Our second production for our week long performance is a culmination of 'Hits from the Musical' performed by the society down through the past 50 years. The night features some fantastic songs from shows like Oklahoma, Showboat, Kiss me Kate, Fiddler on the Roof and many more. To make the night extra special the society are delighted to welcome back some of the cast members to the stage to sing those songs they memorably performed.

Percy French will be performed on Wednesday 5th and Friday 7th March.
Hits from the Musicals will be performed on Tuesday 4th, Thursday 6th and Saturday 8th March
