This is shaping up to be a really amazing show! The singing and dancing are amazing, and it is very, very funny!
Picture a little town in Japan where flirting is punishable by death. Unsurprisingly its citizens are finding the law rather tiresome. They appoint a lowly tailor Ko Ko, as Lord High Executioner, himself condemned for flirting and so not likely to execute anyone. Throw in a love quadrangle between Ko Ko, the beautiful Yum Yum, her ardent admirer Nanki-Poo, errant son of the Mikado, and the man-eater Katisha. Add a very cool-cat Mikado and Pooh-Bah, who IS the town council. All with psychedelic 50's zoot suits, jazz, hot gospel, blues, rock and swing.
Whether this is your first musical, or your fiftieth, you will really enjoy this amazing show!
